If you have ever considered teaching online, there is no better time to pursue developing a course. Online Education at UC Santa Cruz provides an incubator space for faculty to explore course design and development. Whether you have clear ideas for a course or you are just curious, reach out to us. There are several opportunities that we can jointly pursue to secure funding for your project. Working together, we will bring your innovative approaches to teaching to the digital classroom.
If you would like to develop a hybrid or online course to be offered during the academic year, the best option is the systemwide call through Innovative Learning Technology Initiative (ILTI). ILTI is designed to enhance the educational experience and opportunities for UC students by helping them get access to high-demand courses, satisfy degree requirements and graduate on time. Dozens of online courses at UC Santa Cruz have been developed with funding from ILTI.
For fully online courses to be offered during summer, the Division of Undergraduate Education offers an annual call for proposals.
If your interest is in public-facing online courses, see the campus MOOC call.
